    Major Forum Change

    As you can see, there has been some major forum changes done around here. Suffice it to say, that the company we license our forums from has done a complete overhaul to a new version, and we're going along with it for now. At this point everything is basically set with it's default options, and over time myself and the mod/admin staff will be fooling around with and learning all the new options and modifications that have been undertook. We'll also listen to advice you may have on what sort of things you'd like changed. For now, explore your new surroundings, and post away!

    -Merlin

    A fellow will remember a lot of things you wouldn't think he'd remember. You take me. One day, back in 1896, I was crossing over to Jersey on the ferry, and as we pulled out, there was another ferry pulling in, and on it there was a girl waiting to get off. A white dress she had on. She was carrying a white parasol. I only saw her for one second. She didn't see me at all, but I'll bet a month hasn't gone by since that I haven't thought of that girl.

    It's slightly confusing O.o;

    I kinda liked the stuff to the sides better, rather then ontop... since if it's ontop I actually have to SCROLL through it, as though I am almost pretending to read it, whereas when it was to the side it was much easier to ignore. Other then that after stuff is done and changes or whatever you plan to do... I don't see any problems... hell you even got my smily in here right away <3

    I really like the new color scheme and a lot about the layout, but I definitely agree with Eden - I prefer seeing user information along the side of the post.

    Thanks.

    I'm pretty sure it's all customizable, but I need to do some homework before I can roll up my sleeves and dig in here. Just play around with the new look and options first and see how you like them.

    Woah, it's weird, but we'll all get used to it eventually. As always.

    Oh, but the colors match perfectly with my avatar, so that's cool. :P

    The vertical style works much better when avatar sizes are 80x80 max and people don't have two page sigs.

    And yes, I know, my avatar isn't 80x80. I was gonna change it, but custom avatars are temporarily disabled.

    I don't really mind the overall look, but I'd agree that the side panels are better...

    EDIT: It says I'm invisible? Damn, there goes my plan to be here in spirit...

    It's possible to do the side panels. I've seen another forum that uses vBulletin 3 do it. Shouldn't be too hard.

    And with new forums comes new names. Honk.

    Sidepanel is just a simple switch in the admin panel. Making it user-choosable is much harder.

    Aiiieeee! It's a bit unsettling at first, but I'm starting to like it. Putting the user info back on the sides would be nice. Grah! Like half of the smilies aren't there.

    Also, is it just me, or are the avatars larger now than before?

    <img src="http://www.rpgclassics.com/subsites/twistedrpg/images/hero/rirse.gif"> Pretty funky so far, but I like it. Anyway, I suggest you add the option to reply at the very bottom of the thread, instead of just pressing the "add reply" button on the side. It easier to find quotes and stuff that way. And I dunno if it possible, but could you find a way to have a header to each post. Similar to the signature, but it always appear in the front of your post. A example of this can be found at Acmlm's Board, which isn't VBB 3.0, but instead old Acmlm custom board. I know him way back from EoFF, so he wouldn't mind sharing the info.

    The forums seem so... SMOOTH... Definitely switch to side panel though.

    And as long as the forums are getting spiffed up, why don't you add some new forum banner images? The last ones were fairly lack lustre.

    I was terrified when I first got in here. >.>;;

    Of course, I first went to my subscribed threads, including the pic posting thread... and since there's so many damned pages in that, it lists them all without any line breaks... and I dunno about anyone else here, but I hate all pages that have to scroll horizontally, especially if it's just for one little thing.

    *looks at all the buttons above her typing stuff* Looks like hotmail... hyahh.

    What's Guided Mode and Enhanced Mode?

    OOH PINK TEXT!

    EDIT: Yay, found old skin stuff. :3 Still looks kinda funky when I'm making my post tho... Bleh, Guess I'll get used to it. Just a bit bright. x.o
    .
    EDIT: YAY! User info on sides now :D:D

    Too bad it doesn't like having a fixed pixel width, making it all freaky deaky.

    God, you have no idea :P I hate this shit too, what's up with this? Merlin, you go over to vBulletin right now and you tell them that we want our old boards back or you'll cut off their head and shit down their THROAT. Argh!

    Bad! This is bad. Also, these colors are too bright, and they don't have enough badassery to them. Garharahrhggg :P

    Edit: Also, if you want to read who posted last in a thread on a board with too many pages to it, you have to scroll all the way to the right to see. I think that's what Nessa was talking about, and I think it's retarded that we have to do that.

    "...In lieu of copulating he creates; in the circle of his influence conflict is stilled and the harmony of a profound peace established. He is able to love not only individuals of the opposite sex but all individuals, everything that breathes, in fact. This quiet sort of triumph strikes a chill in the heart of the ordinary man, for not only does it make him visualize the loss of his meagre sex life but the loss of passion itself, passion as he knows it. This sort of liberation, which smashes his thermometrical gauge of feeling, represents itself to him as a living death. The attainment of a love which is boundless and unfettered terrifies him for the very good reason that means the dissolution of his ego. He does not want to be freed for service, dedication and devotion to all mankind; he wants comfort, assurance and security, the enjoyment of his very limited powers. Incapable of surrender, he can never know the healing power of faith; and lacking faith he can never begin to know the meaning of love. He seeks release but not liberation, which is like saying that he prefers death instead of life."
