Cannot connect error

I am always so bored in web class, so i wanted to get on IRC and talk.

However, i cannot use the RPGC client because my school's filter blocks 'game' sites.

I was going to use the official dorksnet Java client, and then just connect to the channel, but for some reason i can't get on to the dorksnet network.

Don't bother, to get in you need to do all kinds of crazy tunneling shit to bypass your school's firewall/proxy. It's not worth the effort.

Just give me a brief idea of what i would have to do. Would it require installing any apps on the machine?

Definitely. Basically, you'd need a tunneling program, then host a server on your home PC (or a different one), then tunnel through the network, to use your computer's internet connection. Which probably means that it'll be slow as hell, and it's quite hard to set up.
